42 days later - crickets, growth, etc

Hi all!
The last 48h were great so I thought I would share this with you.

Yesterday my gargoyles ate their first crickets. After trying for 42 days, seeing them hunt and eat the crickets was a big thrill for me.
Specially when the crickets have been bread by me and are so chubby they seem they could burst =)
Today they did it again. Much more confident and accurate than yesterday, they double the number of prey caught. They were so into it that my presence and lights on didn't break their concentration =)
Looking back at all the times I tried to feed them crickets, I realize that this was possible (only) now, due to all the conditions and diet I provided them in the last weeks, i.e., the naturalistic terrarium and balanced diet.

A small proof that we can always do better and that the life of our little friends can be dramatically improved if we try!

Yesterday I also noticed that one of them seemed a bit bigger than before. After weighting and measuring both, I realized that their growth as completely passed by me.
Milky, the smaller one (who has been stubbornly keeping 11g in the last 3 weeks) has grown from 2.3" to 5.5" in the last 30+ days and Rol, the bigger one (who has also been keeping his 18 g for the last 3 weeks) has grown from 3.1" to 6.2" in the last 30+ days.

Therefore, if they are growing but keeping the same weight, can I assume they have been loosing body fat?
Seems a bit strange to me, anyone has any insight on this?

With some pro help on a rhac only forum, they seem to be female, both, although I think they are still too small to be properly sexed. It's not as bad as having 2 males but I was hoping the store clerk was right when he said they were male and female.

On a side note, yesterday we visited a huuge pet store where we had a long talk with the owner some weeks ago after seeing mealworm beetles roaming free in the cham enclosure (imagine the time needed for meallies to turn into pupae and then into beetles), huge crickets walking all over baby uros, baby igs on top of light domes and some similar things.
We pointed out the wrong things and explained why. She said she thought that they have been keeping them right and we left with the idea that she wouldn't change anything.
Yesterday we saw everything corrected, except that the Leopard Geckos are still without a hide, but still... that was a big change and we were very surprised and satisfied with the outcome! =)

Love to hear success stories. Keep Vigilant and keep informing unaware keepers. Kudos to you! And best luck on the gargoyles.
