Ric, it may just take a lot of patience and time, if the pet shop got them accoustomed to mealworms and nothing else they may just take time adjusting to a proper diet. Good luck with them.
By the way, what is all this mention of a new naturalistic tank and no pictures?!?

Rachel, I would probably be homeless by now =)
I've posted a link to the pictures in the post-scriptum, here it is again.
It's the male's tank. I'm finishing the female's now. I run out of coco and need to boil a few more rocks. I'll post new pictures tomorrow.

Sorry for taking a while to respond I've been busy for the past few weeks.
Hopefully your gargoyles are eating well not but if not heres my 2 cents.
I've kept both gargoyles and cresteds for years now and I've noticed the gargoyles to be more of the picky eaters, especially when you first get them and they try to settle into their new home.
Mealworms are known to spoil some lizards such as bearded dragons and in this case, a gargoyle MIGHT be the victim of this.
I think the best thing here is patience and variety. Like many, you may have a picky gargoyle so try lots of different types of food. I'm pretty sure eventually your gecko will take crickets. I was in the same boat as you and all it took was patience and offer your gargoyle different types of food. Crickets, baby food, mashed fruit (non acidic), gargoyle gecko diet, gecko gourmet, etc. It's only a matter of time before your gargoyle will start taking crickets, it took mine about 2 months.

No problem! =) But maybe you misunderstood my question, I asked your opinion on the CGD.
My gargoyles are fine, thanks! =) They still don't eat live prey, I mean crickets, since I haven't given them anything else, but eat everything else, specially if it's sweet =) Meanwhile I've found pollen which is pretty much complete and a very good option to get some protein in their little bodies.
Since they have been taking it, they have been better and gaining some weight at a faster rate than before.

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding. About the GGD and CGD. It's supposed to be a complete meal for your gecko and has everything in it that they need. I use it once in a while but there are some things I don't like about it. It attracts ants, and I mean A LOT of ants. Also it tends to mold fast for me. So when I use it I'll put it in only for a little while and then take it right out. One time I put it in and when to the movies. Came back 3 hours later to find thousands of ants in and around the cage, luckily none of my geckos were harmed.

Wow! =)
Can't you create a "security cord" (by spraying some product) around your geckos enclosures?
On another forum, I've read about a person that gives the CGD dry to the geckos and it seems to work. Here's the post, maybe it can help you out.

In regards to CGD/GGD: I bought a bottle (CGD) at an expo a while ago and just finished up using it. I wanted to try to raise a hatchling stricly on the powder but none of my geckos would eat it. I ended up having to mix it into baby food for it to even be touched. I guess the two are almost identical, the GGD has more protein and is recommend for hatchling cresteds to keep up with their rapid growth.
I'm not sure about the ant problem, I never had one, but do agree with the problem with mold. I'd have lid fulls of it mold up within a few hours. I don't think it was too big of a problem as I don't think the geckos eat any food that is over a few hours old anyways, in other words I don't think they eat molded food so that isn't a problem.
All in all my feelings toward the product are neutral.

Yesterday I prepared this recipe for my geckos, although I made a few changes to it (for a little higher protein level) and the result was a rather tasty pure.
My geckos seem to find it tasty also. Have you tried it?

I haven't tried that recipe. Rather interesting though. I am going out on a limb but am guessing that you tasted it? I tried the CGD when I first bought it, it smelt good so I had to .
I've recently been using fresh fruits and notice that the geckos seem to prefer the fresh over the pureed baby food. I mostly use bananas and mangos.
