Questions about the Crested Gecko Diet by T-Rex
I keep running out of crickets and its a bit of a drive to the pet store (that sells the crickets sized. there is this other place but its by weight and no size guarantee :\ ) And I keep seeing this Crested Gecko Diet bottle by T-Rex and it looks like they make this kinda stuff for day geckos and gargoyles and other lizards too and I was wondering how good it worked?
My crested never seems to like baby food, I'm not sure why. I've never seen her eat it and when I take the food out the next day it looks like she never touched it. then I get paranoid that she's not eating so I go back to crickets. so, will she eat this stuff and is it good enough to be a staple diet? is it hard to use? I read the instructions and it looks like a "just add water" formula. was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it. its funny, the reason I got a crested was so I wouldn't need crickets, and now it seems she only eats them (or silk worms) Thanks for any help ![]() |

I have a bottle. I don't really feed them with it I just supplement the baby food, but if yours aren't eating baby food, I doubt they would eat baby food with the powder. I have offered a few times with just water and it got the look down but it didn't look like it was touched.

Try the t-rex diet witho anything, just add water. The diet is supposed to only be fed alone, not as a supplement although I doubt it would make much of a difference. They claim it should be fed by itself because it is a complete meal and adding anythign else would alter it. If your crested doesnt eat baby food try feeding it baby food with a small spoon. My cresteds barely eat babyfood or mashed fruit when its on a dish but they eat it up when its placed in front of their face by a spoon. Also sometimes my cresteds go into cycles. Sometimes they will refuse anything but crickets then other times they will accept anything.
