Injuries
Is anyone familiar with injuries to Crested Geckos? I have a newborn who got loose (found a way out of its cage that has now been taped up good) and ended up under a door and when it got opened some of the skin tore off the top of it's head. It didn't bleed and it doesn't seem ultra sensitive. I'm just not sure what to do and there aren't any vets within 100+ miles who even know what to do. Needless to say I'm trying to gather as much information as I can to make an informed decision. This whole thing is freaking me out and I'm just sick about this baby. It's only 2 weeks old and still so tiny I can't see it clearly without putting my reading glasses on (if that gives you any idea how tiny a baby crestie is at this age). Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Injuries
Make sure to put him in a tank with no substrate so the wound stays clean as well.

Re: Injuries
Also make sure to keep the tank VERY clean, you don't want any chance of bacteria finding it's way into the little guy. Other then what has been said the little guy should heal up quickly!

Re: Injuries
Thanks for the info. I've already put silvadene cream on it and put clean paper towels in his cage. I don't like to use a substrate until they are a lot bigger and paper towels are easy to clean every day. Thanks for the info and I'll try to keep you posted as to his/her condition. So far he/she is still very fiesty and eager to get out of the enclosure.

Re: Injuries
Silvadene creme is actually for burns, you need to get neosporin without the pain med part of it.
