Going in Search of My Newest Family Member!
I'm off today to go see what the All Maryland Reptile Show has in the way of Crested Geckos. I am SOOOO excited! I can't wait to get my new critter, as much as I love them, I have missed only having the furry ones around....

Re: Going in Search of My Newest Family Member!
I am soooo jealous! Never been to a reptile show before. Actually, I did not even know that they had them. I looked at the schedule posted on this site and found one in May. It is 2 1/2 hours away, but it will be worth it!

Re: Going in Search of My Newest Family Member!
Sorry I missed you Liz! we I found one. He is BEAUTIFUL. The breeder said he was a yellow? he does have some yellow on his face and sides, but they fade to an almost pink as it goes down and the back has flame orange stripes. He is about 5 months old, and is SOOO curious about everything! I named him Skif after one of my favorite characters in the Mercedes Lackey Valdemar series. Skif is a former thief who is known to scale the sides of castles and also has an insatiable curiosity. I thought it fit well. I know you guys will want to see pics. I have already taken a few and as soon as I get them uploaded to the laptop I will post them. He has already been exploring his new home a bit and has found the log hide and I imagine by now he is already asleep.

Re: Going in Search of My Newest Family Member!
sorry I missed you Shell. My friend was coming from Canton and got pinned inbetween 2 train crossings! Had to sit for 20 mins.
Can't wait for pics. I almost picked up a tomato frog, but I was good and didn't. What breeder did you get him from?

Re: Going in Search of My Newest Family Member!
one a couple tables down from the Royal Reptiles table. I looked at the Royal Reptiles and didn't see anything that I really liked, All she seemed to have was either tiny ones (1-2 months old) or the Adults, the ones that were in my price range were all male and I didn't really connect with any of them. And I really wanted a female cause I was thinking that down the line I might want to add a second. So I decided to finish looking around the room and then come back if I didn't find anything else. but then I found this one and he stole my heart!

Re: Going in Search of My Newest Family Member!
I noticed he didn't have many Crested Geckos this time. However he did have that really cute tomato frog!
