Help Gecko Health Problem

My crested geckosescaped...both lost their tails (I have cats). One is fine. The other one (Lynn) has two problems. 1. he got a mouth full of lint and hair (found him under the dryer) I could not remove it and it was swallowed.
2. When he drinks I notice water being discharged from one of the little "ear holes" on his head. At this point he is acting fairly normal.....HELP!

Re: Help Gecko Health Problem

you cant get anything from inside him..all you can do is take them to a vet,or keep them drinking water keep the heat around 75 to 80 during the day just leave them alone for a while they are stressed aswell prob..dont put anything on the broken tails unless it looks infected losing there tails wont hurt btw they wont grow ther tails back..im surprised the cats didnt kill them Crested Geckos are slow..

but i think you should take him to a herp vet asap!

Re: Help Gecko Health Problem

the water from the ear doesn't sound good to me. I would think that was a pretty clear cut sign of significant trauma. like 904 said, get them to a vet.
If you don't know of a vet that specializes in reptiles check out these pages...
Reptile Vet Locator - Reptile Forums - The HC Network
You don't want to take you gecko to a vet that only sees dogs and cats tho...

Re: Help Gecko Health Problem

what are you feeding her?
get her to a vet, and keep her on her own, in an enclosure that is familiar to her, to reduce stress as much as possible.
I hope she's okay.
