I just got my new pimp crestie for my ladies today, which makes 3 breeder males and 4 breeder females. This guy was ok until....he had a dark color in his left eye. The pupil looked fine, just the part that surrounds it is black, but the other eye seems normal...-.-

He's a stub-tail and he's cream and a pinkish color on the sides ..and I noticed he's shedding and having a hard time, cause it's stuck on him pretty tight. My other crested geckos, when they shed it looks really loose, like they're wearing a jacket! lol

If it turns out I rescued him without knowing, then I'm happy. He's active and jumpy, so that's good. I'm going to get him dewormed and checked out tomorrow.
This tells you, you can't always go by what the pictures look like when you order a herp >.< You never know what you'll get :/

By the way, guys...never ship using DHL. Fedex and UPS are awesome. Today I had the worst experience from DHL >.<

omg the address and everything was right the guy went to the house across the street and no one answered and i was up waiting for him so they took the package back to the headquaters...1 hour goes by i call them they said he said no one answered..2 hours later he gives me my gecko...good thing this wasnt jax FL in summer..or the poor thing woulda died..:/ this never happened to me with fedex or UPS

Fed ex recently let me down, and thank god it was with just a computer part and not a herp or a batch of crickets. I had it shipped to my office. At noon I check fed ex and it said they tried to deliver but no one was there!!! WTF its a business. there is ALWAYS someone in shipping. At least I was able to go to the hub after work and pick it up.

DHL is always having issues, I have never gotten a box from them, I always end up picking it up. It is much easier to just ask them to hold it and for me to just pick it up, I figure I'm already going to have to. The greatest is when you go to pick it up and they already have put it on the truck for the daily run so you have to wait till the truck comes back.

All shipping companies can have issues.
I routinely get materials shipments in from Fed Ex and was sitting around one day waiting for them. I went in and got online to discover that the package showed having been delivered. After checking with my neighbors to see if possibly they had delivered to the wrong house, I called the local hub and explained that YES I had been here all day and NO the box was not delivered here even though THEIR system said it was!
30 minutes later a Fed Ex truck pulled up with a very unhappy looking driver as well as a supervisor in it.
The box had been marked return to shipper!
It seems that this driver had forgotten to deliver it, gotten over on the other side of town and didn't want to waste time going back so he took it upon himself to mark the box for return.
I suspect he is now looking for another job.

omg if that happened...i dont even know what i would do..id prob beat someone in DHL with a blunt object of somekind...and they new it was a live animal the lady looked mad aswell when she came back...and the adress on the box was correct she looked like one of thos lazy women with the long fake finger nails and tower hair *im not lying* lol like the ones when you call up a store and they put you on hold forever...yaa ...

btw i just got back from the vet the poor crestie has a dead eye..*blind* ...vet said it looks like he had it for some time and his weight is fine and bone structure..so i have a pirate gecko..instead of a stub leg he has a stub tail and a blind eye..

i will check more carefully next time when buying gecko's from ppl online..but my 4 females turned out good :/

Wow! I would be mad at DHL & the online people you got him from. But, who says you can't love a pirate!? Sounds like he is in a great home now!! And, I suppose if breeding is your goal, pirates can breed, too! haha good luck!!
