Crested Gecko Issues...

My crested gecko Coco Loco. Has this thing with his back...it kinda looks like his spine moves to the other side. (from right to left) and he can't grip any thing. And when I pick him up he has these kind of seizures (he can't control his legs and his head twitches.) I feed him crickets everyday and he gets supplement every other day. And I researched it a little and it sounds like Metabolic Bone Disease but how did he get it? And if he does have it is it possible for him to recover?

Yes, what you have said is Metabolic Bone Disease. You need to seek vet help for him to pull through. There is another user who has delt with it. I suggest a vet asap. Theyll have to give him calcium and other meds. Im not sure what to do at home, but a vet is needed.

I've dealt with it. Twice. If it's from something like hyperparathyroid, your gecko needs to see a vet. If it's from you not giving proper care, just crank up the vitamins and it will help. It all depends on how far along the Metabolic Bone Disease is. If you caught it early enough, a full recovery can be made (well, what is essentially a full recovery). If you caught it late in the stages...I'm sure the vet can tell you what's in store for your crestie.

Edit: Try unflavored liquid calcium with d3 supplement in it. You can get it from stores like GNC pharmacy or even a grocery store pharmacy. Just ask and they'll get it for you. About 2 drops per day for about 7-10 days, then 2 drops every other day for another week. Then just go into a regular twice a week routine of giving the drops to the crestie. Works like a charm.

In all reality you need to see a vet.
Someone who has no experience in this has no way of determining just how advanced the problem is. And if the problem IS actually Metabolic Bone Disease to begin with.

Go to the vet. He/She will give you a calcium (most likely liquid) to give to your gecko and tell you exactly how much to give.
