| This is what our member has to say: ...of shedding, that is.
Here he is (photos aren't great, but I was happy even to SEE the shed, much less get even blurry, flash-laden ... |

Crested Geckos are very, very stealthy about it. At least Elvie sure is! (Not sure if I have a boy or a girl now, lol, so "Elvis" has been shortened to "Elvie" -- but I still seem to say "he" when I'm not paying attention.) I've only seen Elvie shed three times. But since s/he has grown from 4 grams to 30 grams since August, I know there's been lots of shedding going on!

Great shots!
At 30 grams Elvie should be quite sexable. Is there a bulge? If you could post a pic that shows the base of his/her tail I could tell you whether he/she is male or female.

I'll see if Elvie will acquiesce on the photo later on... Pretty sure it's a she, or maybe a gurlie man, lol! No major bulge.

Here is my adult male:

If the bulge is like that, then it's a male. But if it is just a slight bulge, probably female.

OK, Katie and anyone else who'd care to take a guess... Here are some photos I just took. Boy or girl?
By the way, in that second one, s/he had just pooped on me (which is why my hands were wet -- I had just washed them), so things are slightly more "bulgy" than usual. The first picture is the usual appearance.

I really hope so. She's in a 40-gallon vivarium I built, lots of space and live plants and all, and I'd really love to get another female to live in there with her. When I thought I had a boy, I was either going to have to just have one, or else set up a second tank... But if I have a female, maybe two would be OK. As long as I can 100% confirm that I get another female. Do you think two girls would do OK together, or is that a bad idea

You can fit about 3 females in that size of tank, and they should be quite happy. Sometimes you can have a bully, but it is pretty rare with females, not unheard of though. Just keep an eye on behavior and have lots of hiding places.
