Orchid OK?

Is there any reason anyone can think of that I shouldn't put a potted orchid in the tank with a crestie? Now that Elvis has adopted me, I am feeling the urge to decorate. I've always wanted to grow orchids but could nnever give them the humidity they need. I'm thinking the tank would be a good spot, if I put a grow light above it (being careful with temps).

I'm totally new to this, so I'd appreciate any advice or words of warning, if they're warranted...

It'll be fine but the blooms won't last long with a couple of geckos pouncing all over them Buy a variety of plants for the tank, they'll like you for it so much more.

Well, the orchids were all too big. I got a curly stalk of lucky bamboo instead. I have it in a drinking glass in the corner of the cage, filled with glass pebbles and water. We'll see how that goes...

OK, here goes:

Sorry for the glare! The bamboo in its glass is in the back right corner. There is a piece of driftwood with a couple of hollow bamboo pieces set up as a jungle gym (I call the tank "Graceland," of course, since Elvis lives in it, so I suppose that's the Jungle Room). There's a little half-hollow log at the bottom. Substrate is paper towel.

I have a hankering to make it fancier, with maybe some glued-on small containers for plants and a moss substrate... He's just fine with it how it is, but I love to decorate, lol.

If I get moss from my yard (no pesticides or anything like that), will it be safe for him? I guess the concern would be whatever was living in the moss...

Looks great Amy, you might add somemore greenery, like maybe vine wrapped aroundthe tall log, this will allow him to hide more if he wishes

Thanks, guys. More vines sound good! Is pothos poisonous to these guys? That would grow in low light (even witho soil -- I could root it in the glass with the bamboo) and be very viny.
