This Bearded Dragon Prolapse pictorial has been added to HC so that our members and guests can see what a cloacal prolapse looks like. These images also give you a glimpse of what is required to correct the issue.

In order to correct the prolapse the bearded dragon had to be sedated. The picture above shows the dragon prepped for surgery.

In this photo the process of putting the prolapse back in place has begun.

You can clearly see in this photo that some of the prolapse has been inverted back into the vent.

The surgery was a success. Two sutures were required to keep everything in place.
