Aquarium Sizes - Weights
by Richard Brooks
Aquariums are often used to house reptiles of varying sorts. Unfortunately, we don't always know what size tank we have, though we may have the dimensions. To make things easier for our users, we have 2 utilities to help circumvent this problem.
Below we have a listing of the most common aquariums and their dimensions. This can be used as a quick guide for those who have their dimensions handy.
We also have a
Gallon Converter. The
Gallon Converter allows you to input your tanks dimensions and find out its Gallon equivalent. This can be used to find out exactly how many Gallons your custom enclosures are as well! The
Gallon Converter is located here:

Herp Center also offers a way to calculate the volume found in hexagonal and cyndrical aquariums. You can find it here:

Certain tanks of the same size or smaller may weigh more than those of larger sizes or equivalent. That is because some tanks use tempered glass for the bottom.
