Amber, this is not a competition! It's a "Rainbow Show Off"!!
Your babies are adorable... love the second pic of Phantom hiding his face. Kitten looks like a real sweetie!

I know there are more rainbow owners out there: Actionplant, Skullman, Electrophile, Brent Strande, Joe and Rachel... any others???

Wasn't Talyn previously thought to be a Brazilian Rainbow Boa? When did this change? Or did you always have her as an Isla Marajo?

What beautiful pics! I hope my little Ty becomes as beautiful as yours, Andrea and Amber! He's such a little sweetie already - very gentle. I'm excited to see his color as he gets older.

Originally I thought she was a Brazilian Rainbow Boa; but then I bought "Q" who was definitely a "textbook" Brazilian and noticed that Talyn looked very different, size, markings, head shape, etc. I contacted Spencer at www.rainbowboa.co.uk and after sending him several pics of her head and belly he strongly believes she's an Isla Marajo. I figured he'd know as he has 11 Isla Marajo, 9 Peruvian, 7 Brazilian and several other subspecies of Rainbow.
Of course she could be a mix or just a big, somewhat differently marked Brazilian: either way if you look on a map "Marajo Island" is a HUGE chunk of Brazil. I think you can count the scales to find the difference in subspecies, but I haven't spent the time doing that on Talyn.

I find the black dorsal strip somewhat unusual too... not that it's a sign of one subspecies or another... just unusual.

Let's see more pics guys and gals!!!
