Bites
Yes, I've seen the Brazilian Rainbow Boas at the zoo as well. I believe they have 3 now. One of them is a very light orange-yellow color and the other 2 look more like Q.
Q is doing better, I guess. We finished the antibiotics but she still makes some noises. I think she makes them less because she's getting used to handling... we had to take her out everyday for injections, and maybe she's just not as scared anymore. She still has no sign of illness: so I think it's probably some kind of physical deformation that causes the noises.
Getting bit is always scary, because it happens incredibly fast. The actual bite doesn't hurt that much. (Less painful than paper-cuts) The bites bleed A LOT however, so that can be scary too -- it makes it look worse than it is.
Sometimes there is bruising: either by the force of the bite or because of some bleeding under the skin... the pain of the bruising lasts a while, but it's also not too bad.
Talyn has bitten me 5 times in total and Q bit me once so far.
