Frequent urination

My Rainbow Boa, Crais, is still having health issues.
He vomited again last night, in spite of the fact that I shaved most of the hair off of the rat. (It was the first vomit in almost 2 months, so I was really disappointed when I found it.)
He's also putting out A LOT of urine and urates. (Lots of fluid and huge white pasty clumps) When I say A LOT, I mean both amount and frequency. He peed last Friday and Saturday and again this Thursday and Friday.
I didn't used to keep records of urination before, but when I noticed how much he was putting out, I started writing it down for all my snakes. Most of them only pee once a month, (sometimes twice) and small amounts Crais puts out between 3-5 and copious amounts. I always assumed it had something to do with his parasites, but I'm fairly sure we've gotten rid of most of them now. Still waiting for the next stool to do a test.
He seems in pretty good shape over-all: his appetite is good and he's not losing any weight, but this is really unusual and worrisome.
I'll be phoning the vet for a house-call this week.

I'm sorry to hear this Andrea, sadly it doesn't sound very good if he is still vomiting, hopefully the vet will be able to tell you more with tests. I hope he is ok, perhaps the parasites haven't been completely eradicated. Have you searched the internet for snake diseases and ailments? Don't worry yourself too much though, there's nothing you can do on top of what you are already doing, see what the vet says. We have our fingers crossed for you love.

Frequent urination in mammals can be signs of poor kidney function, diabetes, low thyriod function, and high thyroid function. You might use that as a starting point, im not sure how many of those things can be applied to reptiles though.

Thanks for the support. I'll let you know if I find out anything more specific!
So far it seems:
He can't digest hair and he urinates a lot.
I've been looking at our reptile medical books and on the internet without much luck. Hopefully the new vet will have some ideas!
