All Living Things Bonsai Tree

I was at Petsmart the other day looking for decor and I saw the bonsai tree. These things look great. The're hollow so the reptile can use it as a hide spot or climb on it to bask. I was about to buy it when I noticed a little string, felt like a spider web kind of. Then I looked at it some more and noticed more and more of it. Looks and feels like a hot glue strand.

Have any of you used this product? It could be something silicone, but I can't imagine putting something with hot glue under a basking light. I wouldn't mind getting one, but I'm not gonna be the first to find out that its hot glue when I see a big glob of it that dripped onto my savanna.

I know which one you are talking about. Being the greenery part look like it is made of soft plastic, I would not put it directly under the basking light, but you could always put it on the cooler side.

What you are seeing is most likely leftover debris from the manufacturing process. They inject hot plastic into a mold and as the mold pulls away the little strings of hot plastic stretch out.
Sort of like strings of hot cheese on a pizza!

But I'm with Marsha. I would only put it on the cool end of the enclosure never under a heating device. It would melt.
