I don't know much about dart frogs, but I'd check the cage first. You should look under the moss if you are concerned that he is gone, but as I said, I'm not a frog expert.

I don't know about the dart frogs per se but we all have times with all of our herps when they are MIA when it seems an impossibility. They are usually found with some intensive looking.
Just last night about midnight I happened to look in the aquarium that was supposed to contain Becca's neonate Bearded Dragon. No Bearded Dragon!!! I mean where could he be. It's just a 10 gal aquarium with a food crock, a water crock, and a flat rock for basking. I happened to look in from the side and there were two little eyes looking at me. It turned out that he had burrowed under the rock and had his own little hide.

Hello,
Do you have any pics of the setup. They are very timid animals and for the most part will hide for the majority of the day. Once they get settled you will more than likely see them more often but no gurantees on that. They are also notorious for escaping, so any little crack in the lid and they'll find a way to get out. I hope you find them, they should come out when you feed them.

Is that an exo-terra waterfall? I'd look in there, every nook and cranny, I don't like those because they aren't very secure. But that looks like a 100 gallon tank, I have 2 froglets in a 10 and hardly see them, no wonder you can't find yours The tank looks good though, but I can't see the lid, how do you have that setup? They're pretty good at climbing glass so if any of the corners or sides have gaps they can squeeze through,

If you want the pic to come up in the post use [img] in place of the [url]s

awesome! i love darts, what species did you get?

It's funny that you posted this because I had to practically tear my dart viv apart today to find one of my D. leucomelas. It was hiding under a piece of cork bark.

like cody said these are very timid animals, and probably wont come out for a few days, they are new to you and this is a new home. Give them some time.
