today, ordered some fruit flies from www.saurian.net if any of ya'll have done business with them please tell me. I ordered one starter culture and enough medium and cups for 10 cultures. From what I understand, the culture should start producing in about 2 weeks and will last roughly a month. Every two weeks, i need to use fruit flies from my strong culture to start a new one, that way, by the time the good one dies, the new one will be ready and producing flies. I have 3 frogs and I have been told that one culture should feed 3 frogs. If I have any information wrong, please tell me, or reply with suggestions, or just tell me that i'm right if I am. I need to know that I have all this down pat.

Patrick Nabors at Saurian is a well respected breeder of darts. I've never done business with him but from what I have read what he uses and sells is top of the line. What you do with the FFs is once they start hatching you take those and put them into a new culture, and then when that one starts reproduing you will start a new one. One culture will feed 3 frogs but you will want at least one back up culture incase one of yours crashes.
