D. Leucomelas

Well I've been thinking, and I've decided that I want to finally make an enclosure for my future Leucs.I just can't decide what landscaping ideas are good. The only things it has to have are a waterfall and the Maya temple background I'm planning on making. What else? Can one of you give me a link to a good website that shows you how to do the landscaping in the vivarium?I also wanted to know if a 10 Gallon tank was fine for only two Leucs? Thanks!

Re: D. Leucomelas

I think Ten gallons is standard for a pair of darts, according to everything I have read.

Well I saw this:Adding the soil and waterfall to your terrarium.Maybe I could use a container and spray great stuff atop the container and stick some slate to the great stuff to make the waterfall.I can use this technique:How to Build a Dart Frog Viv (round 2) - Reptile Forums UKI would make the waterfall over the container? Will that work?

Re: D. Leucomelas

Either of those will be difficult to do in a 10gal. You might be better off getting a water fall kit (I think they are from zoo med but I'll find a link to what I'm talking about and post it in a little bit)

Re: D. Leucomelas

Ya, its from zoo med and I've seen these used in 10 and 20gal tanks
Almost everything is in there, you just need the waterfall part. And for that you could do the GS and small pieces of slate. Anyway, Take a look at it and I'm sure you can find them at pet stores since that is where I saw it in the first place.

Re: D. Leucomelas

With Leucs, you may want to consider using a 20H for two of them. They get rather large and LOVE climbing.

Re: D. Leucomelas

I wouldn't put them in a 10 gallon. I would do a 20 standard or tall at the minimum. If you want a water feature, do your research. Be sure you can get at the pump and all the wiring and allow for cleaning. I have not made a waterfall because of the difficulty. You don't really need one, but they are nice.
