Those are so cool! I'm hoping to get a digital SLR which will give me much more ability. And, yes, those are on display at the Aquarium. I'm not positive, but I believe they are taken somewhere else after closing. I'll have to ask about that... good thought (the breeding issue, that is).

If it is a display at an Aquarium I doubt the eggs are being raised and re-sold back to hobbyist, so the hybrid issued isn't too much of a concern in that case. They are some nice looking specimens though, do they have any thing smaller on display like D. pumilio's?

You guys need to stop procrastinating and start setting up your vivs. Rachel, how long have you wanted darts now?
Elan, This is the tank they were in. ![]() ![]() I've redone the tank but haven't taken updated pics in a long time (plan on doing it when I get my new camera) Both these setups were easy to assemble and did (are doing) very well. |

I haven't had the chance (meaning... oops! I forgot!) to ask about the breeding thing... but to answer chronic, no, they are the smallest in the Amazon exhibit. We do have a HUGE marine toad, though... As far as other amphibs in the Aquarium in general (not just the Amazon) we have a bullfrog, newt, greater siren and other various tree frogs.
