Re: Poison Dart Frog Vivarium Setup?
I wouldn't mix period, but I think two PDf species would do better then 1 species of PDF and a Gecko.
It would take a whole lot of work though, and you'd have to ensure they both don't differ in size too much, and both fill a different niche.

Re: Poison Dart Frog Vivarium Setup?
You can mix PDFs, but you have to be very specific on how you do it. I can't remember the exact kinds, but I know you can. Do the research to find out what is good. I'm not well versed in PDFs but I know I have read about keeping two types of them together. It's very very specific.

Re: Poison Dart Frog Vivarium Setup?
Putting a day gecko or some fish in would be fine, but the day gecko would have to feed separately. I do keep a lot of dart frogs and do breed them, I would rather you have a day gecko or fish in there than mixing PDF species. A good rule of thumb is 5 gallons of space per frog, so at that rate you should put 11 frogs in there at the max. If you cut down on the number of frogs you put in the tank you could fit in the day gecko. You could also put in a emerald tree boa if you got a big tank. Many of you here look at a 55 gallon as small, but to dart frogs it is big.

Admin note:
Please pay attention to what you are posting. By not putting any spaces in between your sentences it not only makes them very difficult to read but since many of our users are not English speaking and use translators, makes it almost impossible to translate.

Re: Poison Dart Frog Vivarium Setup?
Don't know about day geckos, but Black Jungle had a tiny gecko called a Mourning Gecko a while back. It only gets to be around 2 inches long and will eat fruit flies and other small insects in the tank, as well as fruits and veggies. The only catch is that there are no male/females of the species, they reproduce without mating and are prolific. So you could end up with lots of them after a few years.
Mod Note: Please start using proper capitalization in your sentences.
