Well, the snake woke up in a bad mood this morning. Bailey went to get him, and he struck at her. I went down stairs and he was hissing and rattling his tail, and struck at me. I put a towel over him and picked him up and he calmed down quickly. Looks like a snake stick is in my near future

Or just a ready supply of towels!
Mine was, at first, really good about hissing, tail banging, and striking, but never connected. And it was only in the cage. Of course he was a wild caught adult! Caught by me.
He soon calmed down.

He was more calm today, though I did use a home made snake stick to get him ($2.00 paint roller with cage taken off, leaving the center rod attached to a $3.00 extension pole from Walmart ).
