Re: Just Curious

Any sort of small animals that won't destroy your decorating job. A paludarium is just an aquarium that is set up with both land and water portions,

Re: Just Curious

Many people set out to create paludariums for varying amphibian species. Since they can be planted heavily, they make beautiful enclosures when done correctly. Many amphibians stay relatively small which makes it easier to maintain the planted structure without the animal destroying it.

Re: Just Curious

to answer your question, they work best with animals who are semi-aquatic.

Here is mine for my fire belly toads

They work great for newts and salamanders too.

Re: Just Curious

Most frogs would be Ok but you really need to watch the water level. I would stay away from tree and dart frogs they really aren't good swimmers and will drowned in deep water.

Re: Just Curious

PDFs are not aquatic, they're terrestrial. Water features inside a PDF enclosure needs to be kept small, shallow, and easily escapable.
