So that frog I got from one of the petstores here had parasites. Even though they were kept seperate, somehow it got transferred even though I was very very careful. Friedriech was extremely good at hiding his condition until the night he died, where it was very clear he wasn't going to make it. He died painfully and bloodily in his cage. Poor little fella.

I informed them of their parasite problem, as the frog came from one of their community tanks, and the head of reptiles scoffed at me and didn't believe me, even though they found four dead frogs in there the day before I called. I hope that place shuts down, it's the same place that I got the injured Marble gecko from.

There is no justice for Friedriech or Fritz on this one I don't think.

Sorry to hear of your troubles! Thats the biggest problem with a pet store .... they do not care about the well being of the animal, just the money it makes them!

I don't go back to that petstore, I got the frog and everything seemed fine, so I got the rare (at least in Canada) flying gecko with injured marble gecko (whose injury she conveniently covered as she restrained it). So then I noticed the injury on the gecko, THEN the frog died, then friedriech died. I go back to the same chain but a different store that just got new facilities that are rather nice. I also go there cause it's the only place that has a variety of sizes of crickets within driving distance and also it's the only one I know of.

I've boycotted that store except for crickets.
