My Lucy Died
I finally can post about it now and Ive been up since 5 am
 I woke up this morning and found lucy my chinese water dragon dead today it was quite a shock. Luckily my daughter didnt notice anything before school. I wanted to wait to tell her this afternoon. She was my first reptile rescue...Ive rescued just about everything else but a reptile but when I saw her "living conditions" a year and a half ago I had to do something! She was a great friend and the most sociable lizard I ever had. RIP |

Thanks for the kinds words. My daughter and I had a good cry after school and she okay with it now...poor girl she really loved that Chinese Water Dragon!
I remember last year for pre school they had a "bring a picture of your pet day" and out of all the animals that we have (dog, ferret, dwarf hamster) she declared that she wanted a picture with Lucy! LOL There they were sitting together and she had this great big smile! I wish I could scan the pic but I dont have a scanner. They had to make a new section of the board cause everyone else had pics of their dogs, cats. LOL They made a new section and just put "lizard" haha she was the only one in that section and the teachers were a little taken aback. The great thing about getting Lucy was that I joined the HC network and I have learned sooo much I learn something new everyday reading stuff and meeting some great people here that love herps as much as I do  So thanks! |

very sorry to hear that. same thing happened with my daughters cat, toad. took him to school. he was scared and peed in his crate, wrong color pee.first time we noticed the infection. vet said, see what we can do, but it was too late. i know how you feel.
