My little hamster died
My little teddy bear hamster died on THursday. She was a real sweetie too. She has been sick on and off for a month. She was getting on the older side for hamsters (she was 2 years old).

Here is Poppy in early June.


Here she is being a good little girl and taking her medicine.



We decided to go and get another hamster today (after thoroughly disinfecting/cleaning/rinsing the cage) We got a black bear hamster. Very cute, not so tame yet. You can't see in the picture she has white feet and a white chin and a white blaze on her chest.

Aww, I'm sorry for your loss! I remember how I felt when my hamster died (I was in college; her name was Susie-Rat).

Things are going great with the new hamster, Charlie. She was tame in less than a day! I think she was just a little jumpy with the change in her environment. She is just adorable and her fur is incredibly soft.
