The thing that really sucks, I thought that I knew for absolutely 100% certain that this couldnt happen. I had seen him try to poke his head through before and he failed miserably. There mustve been a really juicy grasshopper out there.

I will be trying again, but first I am going to re screen the cage with half inch mesh.

We are so sorry for your loss. They are very rough on themselves, one of ours broke his neck (we think) jumping to another level of the cage. and we had a tiny baby girl who got sick. We have the one male left, he was the outside male in the group and had his tale bit off or something by our male we lost and he is doing great. They are crazy, we love them. Wishing you luck with your next one.

I"m sorry for your loss, but I'm glad to hear you are going to re-screen with 1/2 inch mesh and try again. You seem like a wonderful parent to such a beautiful creature. He was lucky to be in good hands.
