RIP Patty sweet baby girl
This is put up in honor of Patty the red tail boa I took in on Saturday. She went to the vet today along with others and a x-ray was done and she had many broken bones in her back along with severe absesses, was completely pale, dehydrated and starved to the point of no return! My vet is so furious and is doing the necropsy for free and is writing a very detailed report on the abuse and neglect and unnecassary pain and suffering she went through. I will drop this off along with my formal complaint to the animal control in the county he lives in, the animal control officer is working with me and seems seroius about taking care of this!
upon talking to the officer I found out that his facility is licensed for dogs only!
So maybe my baby girl Patty will not have had to die in vain!
I stayed with her through the whole thing and gave her a kiss on her head and promised her that I will see this through to the end!
So to Patty my sweet baby may you finally be pain free and suffer no more abuse and rest in peace! Goodbye................

I'm sorry she had to suffer at his hands, hopefully her death is instrumental in preventing him from doing this again. The amount of love and devotion that you show to a snake you hardly know is touching.

I spent a lot of time with her in the last 48 hours she was a sweetie! I realize this is probably because she was so ill and broken, but it will never change my opinion of her, I have never seen anything like that in my life! The vet stated the only way she could have so many broken bones was abuse only! THat was no accident. My heart hurts that people would actually do this intentionally, my heart also hurts a lot for the suffering she went through, only knowing her 48 hours, I still cried like a baby and still am, So hopefully sweet justice for my Patty and no more pain ever for her! She did not deserve that!

At least you showed her kindness and compassion in the last hours of her life and gave her a dignified death. She's much much better off now.
You're doing a great job, Nicole! It must be unbelievably difficult, but you are amazing!
I'd love to see the vet's report. I hope the humane society/animal control guy takes some action...
RIP Patty...

And to think that people use the expression "mean as a snake"! Sounds like Patty suffered from mean human(s) in her life. Poor baby! I'm sorry you are having to go through this emotional turmoil, but you did rescue Patty from her pain and suffering. I really hope that the evidence you and the vet and the other rescue groups are putting together will keep this guy from keeping animals again. Hang in there -- this must be very, very tough on you.

Poor Patty. At least she had you during her last hours. Hopefully the rest you took in can be saved. Good luck with all you are doing.

Nicole you did your best and that is all anyone can expect! I too hope that this will cause the authorities to sit up and take notice. NO living creature deserves to be treated this way!
Except may the type of person that would do that to another creature.
You gave her a caring and dignified end to her suffering.
She's at the Rainbow Bridge now and our old friend Fran will keep an eye on her for you!

Thank you for all the support and caring for poor Patty! I am really having a hard time with this! I did not think I would handle it so bad, but this is a tough one! I must definately say he "peed" on the wrong bowl of wheaties! To put it politely. I hope I never see anything like that again!
