Apollo the crested gecko died sometime last night between 1AM and probably 6AM. I spent a good hour with him last night hanging out. I knew he was done for, he was finally showing the exhaustion, despite getting better and eating electrolytes, water and even food. It's always harder when they fight very hard and show stunning improvement. He just simply lost too much blood during the bleeding event.

It was especially hard for me because Apollo and I had really connected in past months. He rapidly became one of my favorites.

That's really sad... but it's probably for the best. As you said in the other post, he probably had lasting neurological damage.
Crazy thing, not knowing what happened to cause this. Are you going to have a necropsy done?

If I do a necropsy it'll be by my own hand. I'm almost 100% sure it was some kind of spider bite or something. There's just no other explaination for what happened to him.
