Anyone seen anything good lately?
As for new movies I usually only get to see what Kate wants to see, which usually is animated, Harry Potter, or some goofy little girl flick.
This week for spring break we have on our agenda The Last Mimsy (??) and Meet the Robinsons. No grown up movies for me Although since I upgraded my cable tv to digital plus, I get a gazillion movie channels. I watch an oldie but goodie the other night which kept me up way past my bedtime To Live and Die in LA from 1985. Is has a lot of familiar faces, Willem Dafoe, William Peterson (Grissom from CSI) and others that I recognized but can't at the moment remember their names! Has anyone ever seen that. My husband and I actaully saw this in the movies way back when we were dating! If you haven't ever seen if you should rent it, its a great movie!

I don't have alot of time for movies lately but I went and saw 300 the other day. I loved the cinematography. I'd recommend it just for the 'style' of the movie.
I've also got a stack of standbys that I can watch anytime, office space, stephen lynch live at del ray, weddingcrashers, mothman prophecies, and finding nemo...

300 was good. Shooter was really good too. It was basically Mark Wahlberg being a bad***, but done well.

I have a hard time finding new movies that I like. The camera style, music and use of color mean as much to me as plot, so I'm pretty picky. I do tend to watch movies based on comic books, because I am that much of a geek, but I usually end up disappointed. And I really like sci-fi/action/adventure storylines, but I want the story to have meaning. Like I said, picky.
![]() I think the last "new" movie I watched and really liked was the Prestige. Not for the squeamish, though. I flinched more then once. But I came away really thinking about it.
