I wish you were closer, I could put one together for about $40.....

The hardest part is mounting the front glass.

You can... It will get scratched up and really foggy in short time.

go to any glass shop, ask for a cancelled order or miscut pane.

It's a lot easier to cut the wood to match an odd window, than it is to cut the window.

I have never paid over $5 for a pane of tempered glass this way.

Another good source, glass cofee table top, glass stereo cabinet front, shower door, house window, etc..

I have an idea. I am just no good at it, I get jagged breaks every time.

Maybe a glass merchants would cut it to size for a small charge (they do here in the U.K)?

i know when you cut it tape it with painters tape and score it with a utility knife first that keeps the edges from splinering but as far as cracking you need a saw that will cause no vibration like a rotozip or a dremil but like i said my area of expertiece is carpentry, electrical, plubing spackling triming **** like that cuting glass is a speacalty. also i suck at spelling if you cant tell which is one of the reasons i work with my hands lol

i do know a window place ill have to ask them for remninse
