I'll add my thoughts on the whole global warming thing I guess.
I don't believe that we are causing it by the extent that humans as a whole are being blamed.
The earth likely goes through cycles and probably has done this before.
There's not nearly enough data that they can substantiate any claim otherwise.
I find scientists jump to conclusions and theorize way too quickly on a lot of subjects and then try to promote it as fact.
Unfortunately wildlife does take a severe hit and populations of one species may enlarge while others nearly wiped out in certain areas.
I think we do more damage at habitat destruction.

I am getting a "page requested is not available" message
It's a PDF, which is probably why it isn't working on your phone. If you download Adobe, it should work.
Interesting article. I'm inclined to agree with you Mike. I think it would be hard to deny the planet is warming, however, it does naturally cycle. The big thing right now is that it's "faster than ever before". Well, okay, it's faster than recorded history, but ever? There is no way to know that. There is a scientist-whose name is escaping me at the moment-who pointed out that the noxious gasses released during the Jurassic period alone (not even the entire Mesozoic Era) would be several thousands times what has been released since the industrial revolution. While I think that we should all try to be eco-friendly (reusable cups/bottles; recycle plastics, glass, and metals, etc. [as a side note, recycling paper requires even more chemicals than producing it, so I can't say I necessarily agree with that one], use your vegetation, egg, and coffee scraps to compost, the list goes on), I don't think it is fair to say that humans are solely responsible for the globe warming. Not even close. In the 60's we were supposedly going into a "nuclear winter"... When you're looking at a place that constantly cycles through periods of different climates, you cannot base a future climate shift on a few years of data.

I think what everyone needs to realize is that we can do make a difference be it in a bad way or a good way.
When I was pre-teen no one mentioned that littering was harmful to the planet. Only about the cost of cleaning it up.
Now we know better and I'm shocked when I walk down a trail and see littering.

You guys know about the Ice Ages?
Global winter cycle, It makes sense to me. If the planet can go into deep freeze for who knows how long, why can't she get a little toasty from time to time?
The biggest problem is habitat destruction, and we (homo sapiens) can take all the credit for that, we`re also great at trying to deny there`s a problem at all, or that if there is, it`s certainly not our fault?
I like what Eric (Pianka) has to say, and agree with him on most of it, he`s been trying to get these messages across for a loooong time.
There`s a big difference between what happens "naturally" and what happens as a result of our actions.

That was a good read.
If I get started I'll be typing half the night.
