So Hannibal has been getting out of his enclosure ALOT lately (almost every single day) I'm working on his final enclosure right now, but until I'm finished I'm stuck with the "presents" he leaves for me on the floor

(anybody who says 1/2 inch malamine can permanently hold a Sav is a dang fool) anyways...
The other night I was cleaning my room and decided to be very thorough about it, and vacuum out the heat registers. So I take off the covers, begin to vacuum and the phone rings. I figure I'll only be on the phone a few minutes so I just leave the covers off (very negligent of me). I end up talking a bit longer than I had expected, and when I come back to my room I heard this "scratching" noise near where the opened heat vent is. I knew instantly where he had gone.
I begin to panic instantly, but then let out a sigh of relief when I look into the vent and can see his tail. Just as I'm reaching down for him, the heater kicks in which scares the **** out of him and causes him to move further down the pipe. I think to myself "Now I'm buggered". First thing I did was go to the basement and figure out which pipe he was in and blocked it off so if he decided to go on a journey he wouldn't find his way right into the furnace.
After I've got the pipe blocked off, I go back up to my room and try to coax him out with a big fat mouse. (Yes I was even dumb enough to attempt to mimic rodent noises). The mouse didn't work (I figure he was enjoying the warm air) so I decided to try shrimp because he's got a soft spot for them. No luck.
So then I had to spend HOURS unscrewing and seperating all these pieces of pipe, I finally get the right one and he just peeks out the pipe and flicks his tongue out at me looking at me as if to say "My fun's over isn't it?" So then I get him back in his cage, close the vents and spend twice the time it took me to take down the pipes to put them back up.
I would have posted this in the "Funniest Thing Your Herp Has Ever Done" contest thread, but considering the danger I put Hannibal in due to my negligence and stupidity I opted not to.
