Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!

Hi all. I am new to this site and I am in need of help. Today my bosc/savannah monitor seemed to puke up a load of saliva. He has been "coughing" and splutteing for a few hours now. The vets are closed for the weekend where I live. Is this normal or not I am worried?

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!

Sounds like it may be an upper respiratory infection. Definitely need to see a vet. Make sure he is warm enough. My other concern would be accidental substrate ingestion, he may have bark stuck in his throat. All in all a vet check is the way to go.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!

Are you sure the vets are closed?
Most clinics when closed have an emergency number to call.
Call them and see if the number is on the answering machine.
