Just don't make it a habit or you may end up with a basketball with legs and a tail!

Yeah, that was the old Alka-Seltzer commercial back in the 70's.
If he ate anything bigger, I'm afraid his legs would be up to high to walk! LOL
Well, anyway, he's moving around more today. Yesterday I cut the basking light "Height" by 50%. He also got another hot bath today. about 95 to 100 degrees at the onset. I didn't have anything in the water to maintain temperature so it got gradually cooler the longer he soaked.
I'm still in awe that he was able to eat it all!
I'm actually surprised that he ate the whole thing without the tail still sticking out of his mouth.

Re: A Little Worried
I take it he ate a medium rat? not a mouse like you said? Cause if he eats an adult mouse, then a med would be nothing. It just confused me when I first read it. lol

Actually, He has gotten slightly lighter colored than he was when He was a hatchling. It's supposed to be the other way around. His spots are not as distinct as they were. One person wondered if he might be an albino. I have no idea. I simply haven't seen many monitors up close. All the ones I have seen are sort of greyish looking.

If he's albino there would be red eyes.

Yeah, You're right. My bad.
I said mouse in the first sentence. Then rat afterwards. Sorry for the confusion. It was a Medium rat.

Well actually I haven't fed him tuna in quite a while. I used to feed a little tuna every now and then several months back. I said tuna in trying to make a point. My line of thought was, I was going to let him wrestle with the dead rat for a while and come back and replace the rat with a more edible meal. I assumed he would thrash it about and would give him a little exercise.
I quit feeding tuna as a treat a while back in favor of canned pink salmon. The salmon has all the bones and vertebrae intact thus producing a calcium supply.Salmon also has omega 3 fatty acids and oils that help with shedding.
As far as washing canned fish with water, I have no clue. I haven't heard anything about it.
