New Monitor

Hello, I used to have a young sav (see my avatar), but I had to give him away.
Now I am getting a new monitor. I was looking into getting a Timor Monitor.

I heard they were aggressive, is that true? If so, how aggressive are they? Would they at least tolerate handling? Do you think I should just stick to Savs?

Thanks,
- Kai

Re: new monitor

I know very little regarding monitors,,,,so little that I assumed all species of monitors were aggressive.

Re: new monitor

If interaction is your thing then stick with Savs.

Re: new monitor

I would have to agree I love the look and size of timors but just can't find them for the life of me. But you have to watch your fingers around them, gloves are a must though one of my savs isn't so friendly.

Re: New Monitor

May I ask why you had to get rid of the last guy?

Re: New Monitor

A sav would be best for what you've indicated. I have a Tegu also, but she is more attention than most people could give. She has learned to be very sweet. If she wants attention she has to be good, otherwise she is put away without the extra time, and she loves her extra time!
