hey I feed my sav raw chicken cuts as his staple food is this healthy if not what should be his staple food

Raw chicken cuts would be about 80 percent protein. Too much to be the staple of his diet. Whole prey is always the best choice. Using insects like cockroaches and rodents whould be a better staple.

Do what's best for the animal, not what's best for you.

You can also use crickets, Meal\super worms, You can also use small goldfish, Feeder fish, Etc.. But, I would recommend that you take your sav out of his enclosure and put him in a plastic tub to eat any kind of live fish for they(The fish) will jump around and have substrate stuck all over them otherwise.

hey do you think if I made a little temporary feeding pool for the goldfish my sav would hunt the fish down in the water???

when he is hungry he starts digging, walking around, and he swims in his water dish head under (as if he was searching for fish).

by the way he is a quik little guy capable of catching it
