It's sharp, large grained, HIGH impaction risk, non digestible as claimed on bag!

Desert Blend by ESU is nothing more than a bag of crushed walnut shells. It IS as dangerous as it sounds. Beyond the appearance of this substrate, there is no reason this stuff should even be made available for use with herps!

I agree this stuff is no good. In addition to what Rich already mentioned it produces/collects quite a bit of dust which can cause all sorts of respiratory issues.

I totally agree and not to mention mold grows quite quickly in it as well

Also it is very hard to clean all of the feces out of.
