I think the friendliness is around the same for them but satanics and vipers are more delicate and dont tolerate the handling as much...am I wrong? Anyone else? Lyn

I know a breeder of U.phantasticus (satanics). He keeps them at around 18C, which is just lower than room temp (20C). He says that a heat wave can run you into some serious trouble...apparently alot of those Uroplatus species are a bit touchy on having lower temps.

I just loooove my little crestie! He's cute as can be, easy to care for, and pretty easygoing with being handled (even as a little one). I don't know anything about satanics, though...

they're more...evil and don't like to be handled...just beautiful. Do you have heat lamps or anything for Crested Geckos? What should their humidty be like? I've had a lot of different answers on this one...I know it's on the care sheets but people keep on contradicting themselves....ok so I now want a hognose, a crested, and a *love* water dragon...ugh *peers evily at Skittles and Joe*

Crested Geckos want humidity around 80% and temps in the mid 70s (F, of course). They don't require UV. So as long as you keep your room heated (or air-conditioned in hot weather) to stay in that range, there's no need for a heat lamp.
This is based on what Savannah taught me and what I've read online. I'm only a novice, though... (By the way, HC has no crestie caresheet -- does someone want to write one?)

Yes, crested geckos can't stand too hot of weather. A temp of 85F for too long could be fatal for a crested gecko and they are fine even into the 60s F. Humidity is as stated above and mine at least are very handlable. I get big sometimes when I check they're calcium sacks though lol.
