Congrats on your new addition. I dont know how fast they grow, growth rate for most animals varies as to how they are fed. I have read that they get 2 to 2 1/2 feet. And where are our pictures...

Jesus Lizard

Have you seen him run on water yet? Bathtub with one floating device on one end and another floating device on the other end might do the trick. I've personally never seen it but I've heard that that is what they do and putting him in the tub might get him to do that. Let me know! I'm thinking of getting a basilisk myself. I've got a chinese water dragon and hear that those are few of the only species that can co-habitate. What have you heard?

yeah they do great together, my water dragon lilly and speedy are always together since I brought him home, but if you do get one make sure you have a long and tall tank cuase once they start running they have a hard time stoping and then they cram into the side of the enclosure.
