I told my friend that Leopard Geckos may not work, but I figured that he could tweek the sleep schedual to turn night to day and day to night(timers etc).
As for the BD would there be any concern as to handling I've heard that they can be tempermental.
The WD sounded a little much, but I wasn't sure if mine was just a little nuts or if they are all little loose cannons.
Anyone Have any Idea about those forementioned Monkey tailed skinks? I hear that they're pretty laid back.
And still no show on invertibrates?

Monkey Tails are expensive and have razor sharp claws and need alot of room and a specialized diet. I would go with something more basic, most reptiles arent very well suited for class rooms.
If he wants something a little more out of the ordinary he could look into a blue tongued skink instead, they have great temperments (CB's do anyways) and as long as they have enough hiding spots to retreat to they can handle the attention.

Monkey tails are not that available and when they are you are talking hundreds of dollars to get them! I have never seen a Bearded Dragon that had a problem being handled. And after they get past the baby stage they don't have the cut and run attitude that most lizards have. I can put ours down anywhere and they just hang out and watch to see what I am doing.
Switching day and night cycles is not as simple as you might think. You are not going to be able to switch their day and night cycles unless the enclosure is going to be kept in a totally dark room. As long as it is light outside,...its daytime!

Off point but funny story, my BP was a classroom pet. Seems he was a bit of an escape artist and on multiple occasions was not in the aquarium the next day. Needless to say the the principle made the teacher remove him from school property, and now he's in my care

As much as I love Leopard Geckos, I'd have to say a Bearded Dragon for a classroom pet. They're handleable and sociable, and so active the kids would never get bored with it.

Hey, Thanks, great help, I'll will surely give an annonimous suggestion for a Bearded Dragon, they were on my list, but I felt an HC consultation was in order.

Greatly Appriciated,

Yep, Bearded Dragons have it! Although, just to be a little different...maybe a uro? Personally, I love both.
