The ramps zip to the shelves with seperable zippers 14 inches long. The shelves then hang from the top with straps with a loop at either end. 95% of the time all you need to clean them is a weekly vacuuming.

If you use the same size zipper thoughout you can place any ramp to any shelf allowing for countless redesigns.

I want to know how the suction cups stay on the glass like that. When Bob was an iglet I used much the same hammock as is shown above and no matter what had to keep putting it back up daily.

I would just hang the shelves and hammock with ropes from the top of the tank...I would be scared Nadia would fall. He's fat! LOL

I used suction cups back when I kept Bob in a 10 gallon for the first two weeks that I had him -- nine years later I hang everything with cord or 1" wide straping. The zippers work great -- I am thinking about putting zippers on the sides of the hamocks and zipping them to the walls.

Just check this off as another high jacked thread, sorry.

Merlin the thought has crossed my mind. I have talked with Keith at lizardcages.com about doing this but have not jumped yet.

Just some market research now. Would any of you spend $250 on my 4x8x6 cage design? It would be shipped with everything needed except the pipes themselves -- walls, tarp bottom, clear front, climbing toys, pipe fittings, detailed list of pipe lengths needed. I am not shipping the pipe because it is so cheap to buy the pipe ($1.24 for 10 feet) but would cost a fortune to ship about 200 feet of it. I have a 4x4x6 rectangular design and a 4x4x6 corner cage design also that would be about $200 each.

Hi Mark...I'm in the process of planning/building my new iggie cage, and have been completely inspired by lizardcages.com...anyways, where do you buy PVC so cheap? Do you get it at Home Depot? Also, will they cut the pipes into the correct measurements for you?

Thanks,
Rebecca

Very easy to cut the PVC on your own. Think through your design and you will save a lot of money. I designed, refined, redesigned my current cage about 50 times before I even purchased materials. This is the 8th generation cage that Bob has had and it has taken 9 years of my working as well as Keith's (lizardcages.com) to come up with a design I really like -- save yourself a lot of money and buy the lizardcages.com plans.

Here is a thread to read

I've been to his site many times. I like the Jungle Gyms that he has, but I was thinking of something that is more rectangular (6Lx4Wx6H), than a corner cage. I have the place picked out in our house for it, and I'm afraid that the corner gyms will not work there. Does he have other plans, that you know of?

Thanks,
Rebecca
