My Boy is Growing Up! [pics]

My wife managed to snap a couple of pictures of our male jeweled curly tail swift shedding for the first time (since we got him that is).



...and, a couple hours later:



As of today he still needs to shed the skin off his tail, but otherwise everything else came off cleanly.

I have a pair of digitals (thermometers/hydrometers) that I used to "calibrate" the dial thermometer on the wall of the vivarium. I just don't leave them in the tank at the moment - I'm still determining the ideal viv setup (much to the chagrin of the occupants.)

They are stunning! I do the same, I've got so many cages that it would cost me over a thousand to buy a digital for each one, so I'm moving it from the one to the other just to check that the temps stay what it was last.

You can never setup an enclosure correct the first time. I always observe them and then change it until they are happy, although it sometimes mean that I am not happy with the looks afterwards.

Wow - right now I am SO jealous of my Wife. Apparently our Chinese Tree Dragon has started shedding now too. One of these days I will have to set up a webcam so I can see these things happening while I'm at work.
