Lizard Shower
So Ive heard of people putting there bigger herps in the shower and just letting them be for a while to get some good soak time in, but what about for the little guys? The article I read was about Sailfins and it mentioned to make sure it couldnt get stuck in the drain. If that was taken care of, would you let your little lizards shower like that? I have Japalura's.

Re: Lizard Shower
Showers are usually for Chams. Most people give their lizards a good warm soak in tub. If it is a real small lizard you can soak it in the sink.

Re: Lizard Shower
I'll run the shower on my iguana sometimes, but mostly he gets baths, just make sure that you don't leave them unattended.

Re: Lizard Shower
Showers are actually great for tropical lizards as long as the water isn't too hot. The extra humidity is great not only good for their skin but their lungs as well. I let my iguana have showers all the time. You do need to make sure that there are no openings that the lizard can get thru such as the drain, overflow or the tub spout itself.
And don't leave them unattended.

Re: Lizard Shower
My iguana loves the shower too! She likes her baths but really loves the shower. You just have to observe the safety precautions. My boa constrictor loves to take showers too. Our small lizards get bathed in sterlite or rubbermaid containers. They just don't work out well in a shower when they're small. They all also have large water bowls, except the basilisks who have a tub to swim in, in their cage.
