Thinking of adding...
A frilled dragon this summer.
Since it's an iguanian, UV is a must. They are usually only around 250 or so at shows, which isn't bad considering they aren't common up here. Are they as big a pain as people say they can be? I've heard alot of the time they turn mean for no reason and just flip right out. Any insight on this?
Also, once this one is big, is a co-habitation of my Blue Tongue Skink and the frillie possible? One would assume yes as frillies like to climb alot more than the Blue Tongue Skink does.

I would advise against it as well. Quite often Blue Tongue Skink need to be kept singly or they fight. They do have somewhat similiar environment conditions but I still be very hesitant to try it.

Taking into consideration that the frilly is a carnivore with a strong feed drive I would advise against it as the Blue Tongue Skink might lose a tail tip or a foot or so before you realize they aren't getting along.

Well they are BOTH the Irian Jaya (or at least indonesian) varieties of the lizard, so they do have the same environmental requirements.
I've seen the two kept in the same cage along with Bearded Dragons before with no problem. I think it's a matter of keeping the frillie full (ugh, expensive!) to stave off aggression. I know they need a hugemongous cage, I was thinking like a 150 gallon mesh cage for the both of them, maybe a 200 if I can get one or make one. That'd be too big for my small place.
I JUST WANT A LITTLE LIZARD TO SIT ON MY SHOULDER THAT ISN'T A SKINK THAT CAN WEAR A SOMBRERO AND A PAUNCHO! Is that too much to ask!? (lol jokes)

I have a NG Frill but I keep him in his own cage and two Bearded Dragons(both in their own cages too).I think it would be best to keep them separated. My frill was a rescue and small for his size 12 inches....my female bd 19 1/2 inches she would eat him as a snack but he will still frill out at her if she comes by his cage and hop up on the glass.....with that come on I'm bad look

I know a few people with them that have had them for several years. After the first week each one stopped with the displays, if they even did so. They all were still skittish about being held, except one, but nothing overly demonstarted.
I like mixing and I would say do it, but big is where it's at.

Yeah I'm thinking of no less than a 80-100 gallon for them, with tons of folliage up top for the frillie and lots of hides for the blue tongue. Should work nicely.
Speaking of which...(see new thread)
