Any tips for egg incubation? The Croc skinks should start laying within 7weeks, assuming I'm not a total moron...and come the september show in Edmonton, we WILL have another female crestie who would be ready to lay by november, as well as potentially a new fire or berber skink to lay some eggs for us.

Any ideas on how to incubate eggs?

This talks about reproduction and temps good for the eggs. I would think you could use the same substrate (vermic/perilite) for these as well.

I have bred animals before, but I haven't bred egg layers. I just wanna make sure I know what's going on; I've read that site before. What I really need is suggestions on set ups to incubate, especially crestie eggs cause I know people here have done it before. Also, where does one get vermiculite?

You can get vermic online, others may have more sources. When I incubate eggs, I put the moist vermic into tupperware containers with holes on the sides, ends and top. You can bury the egg halfways. Then I take a damp papertowel and lay across the eggs, then this becomes dry, you need to mist it keeping it moist. Mist the lid and sides of the container also. Then place container into the incubator.

Vermiculite should be available at any place that sells gardening supplies.
It is used for amending potting soil as well as starting cuttings.
