yeah I think they had it pluged in for a while before it burst but they went through quite a few of them and every one busted

Maybe it was a bad batch. I once bought a couple of blue night lights that would die 2 minutes after I turn them on. The shop send them over to the distributor with the rest of the shipment.

For now I've been looking for something more reptile looking...He just likes to sit in his water dish. I've heard that you can actually buy humid hides now with little holes and tops on them.

Under Tank Heater works great too......well it is cheaper to buy one and never replace it than replace bulbs all the time too.......iv used red bulbs before too but I just switched back to Under Tank Heater because they werent digesting food as well with the bulbs

you can get cages that go around them so if they do the pieces dont fall also you can use a glow light with a porcelain socket on top of the screen just make sure your Ceramic Heat Emitter isnt touching the screen

Sitting in the water for a long time is usually a sign of something is wrong. Buy a digital thermometer and verify your temps.

With a little effort you can change that humid hide for something more appealing to your gecko. You can do it two ways, either you place the lid and cut a hole on the lid so the gecko can get in (from the top) or you place the lid, turn it upside down and cut a hole on the side so the gecko doesn't need to climb to see and use the entrance.
