Tell your mom that my mother-in-law was a hard core herpetophobic and after one week of feeding Pog (our Bearded Dragon) during our vacations, she was already calling him "Grandma's Pog" =)
2 weeks ago I showed her pictures of Leopard Geckos before I brought mine home and she said something like "I only like Pog, everything else gives me the creeps!" and since she met her, the first thing she says when she phones or visits is "how is grandma's tangerine?" =)

Mine walk like little bull dogs when they're hunting and when they see their prey they wiggle their tails at the end like a cat. And depending on the angle you look at them they either have a very grumply look or a very goofy smile.
