Best way we've found for socializing them is to handle them every day or two (I know this might conflict with what most caresheets say, but I can only tell you what has worked for us!) Try putting your hand in front of her so she can see and smell you before picking her up -- it will let her get more accustomed to you, and it helps keep from startling her. Plus, we don't push too hard -- as soon as they get fidgety, we put them directly back in the enclosure, so they know they're safe. We've actually gotten one of our most skittish fellas fairly well tamed with this method. Odin can now be taken out on a regular basis where before, as soon as a hand came near him, his tail rose up and started whipping!
