Hello. I'm thinking of getting a ceramic heat emitter for my leo since I am having trouble with bulbs burning out. Do I need a special lamp for it or would a the regular ceramic and metal one work?

You need a porcelain socket. Normal plastic sockets would melt. A better alternative to a Ceramic Heat Emitter is the Mega Heat Emitter. It too requires a porcelain socket but it is "reptile friendly". With a leo its unlikely, but if the reptile were to come into contact with it, they wouldn't get burned.
